3de interlevensbeschouwelijke ontmoetingsdag op zo 7 mei 2023 in Leuven
Ben je benieuwd welke diverse levensbeschouwingen actief zijn in Leuven? Wil je ze graag ontmoeten? Wil je weten welke waarden ze belangrijk vinden? Noteer dan 7 mei in je agenda.
OVAAL nodigt jullie uit aan rijk gedekte tafels. Talrijke lekkernijen worden gratis aangeboden. Tijdens die proeverijen is er ruimte voor boeiende babbels rond “eerlijk en duurzaam voedsel, delen en herverdelen en het belang van gastvrijheid”. Het zijn waarden die alle deelnemende groepen met elkaar delen.
OVAAL nodigt uit om met elkaar symbolisch “het zout te delen”.
“Het zout delen” is een spreekwoord uit de Marokkaanse culturele traditie maar het komt ook voor in andere tradities. Als je samen gegeten hebt (zout delen), ontstaat een verbinding tussen mensen. Die ervaring van verbinding maakt dat je anders kijkt naar onenigheden en conflicten. Conflicten verminderen, worden gerelativeerd of worden op een gezonde manier opgelost.
Een bijzonder actuele boodschap waar iedereen beter van wordt!

The Third Cross-Cultural Lifestance Event in Leuven at Bruul Park
Are you curious which different lifestance and religious groups are active in Leuven? Would you like to meet them? Would you like to know what values they consider important? Then mark May 7 on your calendar.
OVAAL is inviting you the afternoon of May 7 at the Bruul park, to visit the various stands prepared by each participating group. Each Lifestance will have a table where they will display free cultural delicacies to taste, as well as information, providing opportunities to exchange views, while emphasizing the need for sustainability, sharing, redistributing of goods, and the importance of hospitality. These values are all held by the participating groups.
OVAAL will provide you the opportunity to symbolically “share the salt” with each other.
“Sharing the salt” is a saying from the Moroccan cultural tradition, but it is also found in other traditions. The act of eating together (sharing salt) creates a connection between people. That common experience creates opportunity to see other people in another light. You begin to change perspectives on disagreements and conflicts. Conflicts diminish, are put into another light, and can be resolved agreeably.
The need to ”share salt” is a particularly relevant message for our day and time!
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the wide variety of points of view (lifestances) in the Leuven region.
